Three kinds of energy efficient installations are available:

The Combi (or combination) boiler is a space saving, high efficiency water heater and central heating boiler. As there is no need to store hot water, no cold-water storage tank or hot water cylinder is required. The unit may be wall-mounted or freestanding.

A System boiler pumps hot water from the boiler to the radiators and hot water cylinder and has many of its components built-in.

The installation of a Regular boiler normally follows the replacement of an older system and will be subject to Government regulations (see Building Regulations). The components consist of boiler and controls, a feed and expansion system, hot water cylinder, and a cold-water storage cistern located in the loft.

The replacement of a system or regular boiler will also provide the opportunity to upgrade existing central heating controls to meet current requirements.

Advice on the most suitable boiler for your need, or for boilers compatible with oil and LPG installations, is freely available.

All condensing appliances that we supply are “SEDBUK Band A” energy efficiency rated - the highest efficiency rating that can be achieved. This is a method to provide a basis for fair comparison of different models. These boilers can cut heating and hot water bills by between 15-20% and are up to 30% cheaper to run than older boilers.
