Increased grants for renewable energy on public sector buildings

Following the budget announcement on the 22nd April 2009, an additional £43 million had been added to Low Carbon Buildings Programme and, as of 1st June 2009, any public sector building, including schools, hospitals, housing associations, local authorities and charitable bodies, could be eligible for a grant of up to 50% of the cost of installation if carried out by a Microgeneration Certified installer.
