Solar Energy
If your new or existing central heating system stores hot water in a cylinder, then you have the opportunity to make significant savings on your water heating bills.
Solar heating for domestic hot water is based on harnessing energy from the sun to indirectly heat water in a cylinder and is the fastest growing renewable technology.
We are well placed to offer solar technology and have two working installations in our Energy Centre showroom where prospective customers can see for themselves systems in operation.
As solar systems operate on the principal of light absorption and derive energy from both direct sunlight and indirect solar radiation (even on cloudy days), an installation can provide 50-70% of annual hot water requirements – the remaining energy coming from an automatic switchover to conventional power as required.
Not only will this make an immediate saving in annual fuel bills but will also reduce your carbon footprint by effecting a reduction in CO2 emissions to the environment.
Advice on which type best suits your need is freely given and a no-obligation site visit would determine the solar panel location and type.
